|The Denver Chess Club meets on Tuesday nights at the Third Christian Reform Church 2400 S Ash St Denver, CO 80222 (map). The club meets from 5:30 – 10:00 p.m. Players may come and play pick up games (regular, quick and blitz) at no charge provided the sound level is kept to a minimum. There is a rated game every week as a part of a month-long G90 tournament with registration closing at 6:45 (you may call ahead if you are running late). The cost for the rated game is $6 for members and $8 for non Denver Chess Club members. There are also lectures presented between 6:00 and 7:00 periodically. In addition, the Denver Chess Club will soon run Saturday tournaments again after losing a previous free site. Chess Knights meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. From C-470 and Broadway, on Broadway go 1.3 miles south, at the light, turn right onto Highlands Ranch Parkway, go 0.2 miles, to the first light, turn left onto Ridgeline Blvd., go 0.2 miles, the library is on the left. Denver Chess on Meetup.com We meet Saturday afternoons at 3 pm, once or twice per month, and we offer casual unrated games as well as lessons for new players. We have a variety of skill levels in the group from beginner to expert-strength, and all chessplayers are welcome. Cost is free to come and play games, or just $5 per lesson for those new to the game. North Jeffco Chess Club an active club for over 33 years, meets every Thursday night at 7:30 PM until 11:00 PM at 10425 W. 64th Place (between Miller St. and Oak St.) in Arvada. Enter at the south west door, we play in the basement. Free coffee or hot tea, plenty of free parking. No cost to join our club.
