Colorado Springs Scholastic Chess Club meets Monday nights at the After School University, 7689 North Union Blvd, Colorado Springs from 6:45-8:30 p.m. We've had students as young as 4 years old, up through the 12th grade. We have a formal lesson every week, approximately 30 minutes, and then have chess ladder competition where kids can play someone close to their rating for rank within the club. As our hosts provide us space for free, we are able to offer the chess club at no charge. We have a lot of fun, promote solid chess play with good sportsmanship, and a comfortable learning environment. New students should be familiar with what the rules of the game are and the pieces, and we'll teach from there. Email for more information.

Denver Chess League is a team competition between Denver and Boulder area schools. Click on the link for a complete crosstable of results and standings.

We play some of our scholastic matches at Barnes & Noble at Denver West. Sponsors: Becky Crozier 303-982-4204 and Chris Colucci 303-982-4289. Our President is Clinton King.
